Meet the Founder
A mom, a leader, and a believer in the power of a good story.
I'm Alexa, founder of Stories from the Stars.
For nearly a decade, I've led teams and helped some of the world's largest companies solve complex problems with technology. But my most important leadership role is one I have at home: being a mom of three.
And surprisingly, leading a team and raising children have a lot in common. Both require understanding different personalities, navigating emotions, building confidence, and knowing when to listen, and when to guide.
The difference is that children are learning how to navigate all of this for the very first time. Every day brings new experiences, big emotions, questions, fears, and moments that can feel enormous in a child's world.
As a mom, I found myself constantly asking: How can I help my children understand what they're feeling? How can I turn difficult moments into opportunities to learn, grow, and connect?
And then I had a simple idea:
What if we could turn those moments into bedtime stories?
Stories that help children make sense of their emotions. Stories that give parents a natural way to start conversations that might otherwise be hard to have.
That idea became Stories from the Stars.
Because children don't always have the words, or the tools, to process everything they're experiencing yet.
